Foods Allowed on the 500 Calorie Diet

The 500 Calorie Diet is based on the idea that you can manipulate your brain into burning stored fat by supplementing with the HCG hormone. Leafy green vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions are allowed. Melba toast or another low fat carbohydrate, such as hard breadsticks, can be consumed in extremely small portions. Total calories should not exceed 500 per day. The body will get the energy and nutrients it needs by burning stored fat if you are supplementing properly with HCG.

    It’s nice to know what I’ll be limited to before I start the diet. This list really isn’t that bad though. It seems pretty balanced, and actually has a wide variety of foods included. I will miss my bread though.
