Oral HCG Weight Loss: Just One Benefit of HCG

Human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG, currently has a lot of benefits and medical uses.  If you’re on the oral HCG weight loss plan or looking into it, it might be interesting to know some of the other medical uses of the hormone.

For example, it is used as a tumor marker for certain types of cancers, specifically with gestational trophoblastic disease and germ cell tumors.  HCG is a consistently reliable screener for these diseases and can also help determine when treatments aren’t working very well.

Gestational trophoblastic tumors always produce a level of HCG that correlates with the mass of the tumor and thus is useful in prognosis.  HCG levels are also incredibly sensitive; they will be elevated even in cases where the tumors are very small.  HCG is actually essential in the treatment of trophoblastic neoplasms and in the periodic monitoring of patients who have completed their treatment.

While HCG levels are sometimes elevated in conjunction with other types of cancer, including breast, lung, and gastrointestinal, the hormone does not yet have much clinical application in the treatment of these types.  However, it is believed that HCG may have some hand in the prevention of breast cancer.

HCG is also used to increase natural testosterone production in men, thus increasing physical energy and eliminating chronic fatigue, improving sex drive and performance, improving mood and reducing depression, and increasing lean muscle mass—just to name some of the benefits.  It also increases sperm count and is therefore a useful treatment for male fertility issues; it is also used as a fertility treatment in women.

Of course, if you’re using HCG for weight loss, you’re probably already aware of the benefits involved with that:  limiting hunger pangs, resetting the metabolism, losing fat rather than muscle and bone.  Let’s face it:  what we have here is sort of a miracle hormone.

Interesting post here. Gave me some things to think about. I started on the HCG diet a few weeks ago and so far I’ve seen pretty reasonable results and no side effects. I’m still reading about the protocol and the HCG diet, so thanks for having the information you have here available.
