Where HCG Comes From
HCG is an all-natural substance, consisting of chains of amino acids that form proteins. The purpose being to regulate certain metabolic processes in the human body. This is what a hormone is, and in the case of HCG, the main function is to protect the fetus during the gestation process. Not only does HCG regulate overall metabolism, it also prevents the mother’s system from leeching nutrients from her baby and keeps the mother’s immune system from attacking the fetus (which could otherwise happen due to the presence of the father’s DNA).
A baby is born with an abundant supply of HCG, which remains throughout childhood and adolescence. Today’s modern diet with its overly processed foods and chemical adulterants eventually leech all of this HCG out of our bodies by adulthood.
What Happens Then?
If your body is your home, the thermostat is the hypothalamus gland. HCG controls this thermostat. When it is absent and fuel is in short supply, the hypothalamus, instead of accessing the body’s reserve fuel that is carried around the waist and hips, starts cannibalizing the superstructure instead. The first thing to go is muscle tissue, followed by structural fat, such as viscera. It is as if a house started burning its own drywall and framing to maintain heat instead of using the spare fuel tank outside the garage.
Not only that, the rate at which fuel is expended slows down to a crawl. This is what makes a traditional diet so ineffective.
Taking HCG, which is really nothing more than hormone replacement therapy, the hypothalamus is literally reprogrammed to unlock the unsightly fat stores around the belly and hips while maintaining a normal metabolic rate.
Preparations
Dr. Simeons’ protocol calls for two days of abject gluttony, followed by up to forty days of monastic deprivation, eating a mere weight loss a day from a diet limited to lean meat and vegetables – no potatoes, dairy products, breads or sugars. While this may seem dreadful, while on the HCG you’ll find it is actually quite tolerable – and it’s not forever. Anyone can do anything for forty days.
