About HCG Diet Safety

The most often-expressed safety concern about the HCG Diet usually has to do with the low calorie diet. Under normal conditions, this would be considered a starvation diet. On the average, weight loss is:

  • a handful of nuts
  • a slice of apple pie
  • one slice of pizza with “the works”
  • a baked chicken breast and a small piece of corn on the cob (sans butter)
  • one cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • one hamburger with cheese
  • two cups of brown rice

Perhaps any one of these would do for a single meal – but while on the HCG program, this is all you get for an entire day. (Fats, carbs and added sugars are ly off-limits!) A normal person requires at least four times that amount just to maintain reasonably good health.

“Human Chorionic Gonadotropin” (HCG) is one of several hormones that exist in the human body at some point during the lifespan. The basic function of a hormone is that of a chemical messenger. HCG comes into play during the early stages of pregnancy. “Cheap HCG” – Not Always a Good Deal

There are many reasons why “cheap HCG” is not really so cheap – and may even get you into trouble. At best, you are taking a substantial risk by purchasing one of these HCG diet kits online, particularly those offering a supply a syringes.

There is nothing wrong with taking HCG injections of course – provided that you are getting these from a doctor who is qualified to do so. It is also best to have this done through a licensed HCG clinic.

HCG Weight Loss Diets and How They Work

HCG weight loss diets are about two things: high metabolism and effective use of existing fat stores.

Fat is Not The Enemy!

Most people are surprised to learn that a certain amount of fat in the diet is necessary in order to maintain good health. This is true regardless of whether or not you are on the HCG diet. How the HCG Diet Program Controls Hunger Pangs

Saving The Best For Last

HCG, Dr. Simeons’ Diet and Safety of HCG

When you take HCG, Dr. Simeons’ diet, safety is the second most important component. If you are not following Dr. Simeons’ protocols carefully, your weight loss efforts will not succeed.

This said, many have expressed concerns about the safety of HCG and the “Very Low Calorie Diet” . Dr. Simeons’ Story

What You Can Expect In Terms of HCG Results

Used properly and in accordance with Dr. Simeons’ protocol, dieters can expect to see amazing HCG results within a short period of time. It is important however to follow the recipes and stick to the weight loss diet closely. Fortunately, HCG makes this easy to do.

It Isn’t HCG that Does the Trick

First of all, it is important that by itself, HCG is not a “magic bullet.” Simply taking HCG drops will not magically make you thin. HCG, or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is merely a chain of amino acids, forming specialized proteins that make what is known as a hormone. HCG As A Reprogramming Device

Losing Fat and Not Muscle on a Low-Calorie Diet

The problem with a low-calorie diet is that your body, when provided with so few calories per day, goes into starvation mode.  It wants to conserve its fat, because it thinks it might need it later, if this is how it’s going to be.  It prefers to get the energy it would normally get from calories from muscle instead.  It feels safer that way.

But you don’t go on a diet to lose muscle. You go on it to lose fat.  You want to keep that muscle!  So how do you trick your body into using the fat, not the muscle?

HCG: The Weight Loss Hormone
The answer is surprisingly simple:  you give it oral HCG.  HCG stands for human chorio gonadotropin, a hormone actually produced by the human pregnant female body.  All of us are born with HCG in our bodies, but, unless you’re a pregnant woman, you can’t make more of it.  HCG works in conjunction with the hypothalamus gland, the gland that helps regulate the body’s usage and thus storage of fat, among other things.
