I’m talking about balance in all aspects of life: outside of us and inside of us. Outside, there are all the daily pressures, the pushes and pulls of the world that surrounds us. There’s frequently a lack of balance between work and play, especially in our dog-eat-dog, time-is-money capitalist economy.
We work so hard to put food on our tables that we don’t even pay attention to what that food is. Sometimes, we don’t even sit at tables to eat it. Or when we do, it’s hard to enjoy it because we’re already thinking of the next thing we have to do.
The Imbalance Inside
Then there is the problem of balance in our bodies. Our systems are really very fragile and can be easily upset. An extended period of not really noticing what you’re eating because eating has become an irritating necessity that just gets in the way of everything else you have to do—even though you really used to enjoy mealtimes—can truly throw off your system.
The Restoration of Balance
The HCG diet is about the restoration of balance. Our belief is that, when done properly, these diet plans teach you about how to have balance both in your body and in your dealings with the world. You learn about the preparation of simple but delicious and nutritional meals, about the importance of making time in your day to sit down and eat them. It’s amazing how a habit change as seemingly small as eating healthy meals at regular intervals can bleed into everything else you do.
Having balance in your body helps to create a sense of calm and order in your interactions with the world around you. Even when everyone else seems to be going crazy, you have your core of serene health and energy to draw on for comfort, strength, and equanimity.
