Don’t Use the HCG Shots–And Other Tips for Success on the Plan

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

If you want to be successful on the plan, you need to find an affordable, convenient, and pain-free way to get your hormone, which is why we do not recommend using the HCG shots. They have pain, inconvenience, and great expensive working against them, which means it’s highly unlikely that a dieter will stick with them for as long as they need to have success on the program.

So our first tip is to use the oral HCG instead: it’s convenient, pain-free, and quite inexpensive, making it easy to stay with your recommended dosage amount for as long as you want to stay on the plan. Here are some of our other tips for success:

1.    Find a buddy

Studies show that you are more likely to stick to a diet if you have a good support system. Begin by using our website as a way to educate yourself about the plan, but also enlist the support of a buddy. You can call on your buddy when you have questions or are tempted to cheat.

2.    Make a Motivation Collage

If you want to stay motivated while on the plan, begin by making a motivation collage. Ask yourself, what will being slender mean for you? Cut pictures out of magazines that represent what you feel. Glue the collage together and post it on your bathroom mirror or on your refrigerator. Pictures say a thousand words, and a collage can be a really powerful motivational tool for you on your weight loss journey.

3.    Keep a Food Journal

It’s not required to keep a journal on this plan, but it can really help you keep track of your calories. You can also use it to chart your moods and identify possible emotional triggers that lead to eating–and even cheating.

4.    Use Our Tools for Success

We offer many tools that will help you to achieve success on the plan. You can use our Diet Direct Recipe Guide to find delicious and creative ways to stick with your calorie limits while on the plan. Order a bottle of B-Total supplement to increase your energy and help suppress your appetite. We have many products designed to increase your chances of success on the plan, so be sure to check them out!

5.    Believe In Yourself

The most important thing about this plan is your dedication and drive to succeed. Once you make that first step and decide you will lose the weight, you can make it happen. Your attitude on this program will help you make life-changing decisions. It’s a very empowering thing to do! Don’t fight it–live it!

The Effects of Dr. Simeons’ HCG Shots on Other Health Conditions

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

When Dr. Simeons first developed the HCG diet half a century ago, patients received their HCG via HCG shots, which they came to the clinic to have administered daily.  Dr. Simeons, while studying these patients, had to pay extra attention to those who had possibly complicating conditions in addition to obesity and how these conditions might be affected, whether adversely or positively, by injections of HCG.

These conditions included arthritis, cerebral hemorrhage, coronary disease, diabetes, gout, high blood pressure and the hardening of the arteries, and rheumatism.  All of these conditions are typically aggravated by the condition of being obese. Some might even develop as a result of obesity.  They all also have two other things in common.  First, diencephalic regulations—or lack thereof—seem to play a role in their development.

The Effects of Diencephalic Regulations
The diencephalic part of the brain is the posterior part of the forebrain, which connects the midbrain with the cerebral hemispheres, encloses the third ventricle, and houses the thalamus and hypothalamus.  The hypothalamus is the gland that works with HCG to help regulate fat storage and usage and control emotional eating and drinking urges.

Hormone HCG Effect
The second thing that all of these obesity-related conditions have in common is that they either don’t occur at all or improve during pregnancy, which is when the hormone HCG is produced.  Other conditions not related to obesity also improve during pregnancy. These conditions include some types of allergies, brittle fingernails, colitis, duodenal or gastric ulcers, hair loss, migraines, and psoriasis.

Dr. Simeons’ question was whether these conditions would cease or improve with the injection of HCG similarly to how they are affected during pregnancy. Since pregnancy, specifically, HCG brings about alterations in diencephalic functioning and the roots of all of these disorders appear to be traceable to the diencephalic part of the brain, does HCG make a difference.

The answer:  indeed, HCG injections brought about improvements to all of these conditions.  The even better news today is that you can reap all the benefits of HCG without daily visits to a doctor for injections. HCG is now available in an oral form.

Can HCG Shots be a Cancer Cure?

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Believe it or not, some people either think that HCG shots are a cure for cancer, or that the HCG industry has made this claim. The fact is that neither is true.

This claim has been attributed to some retailers of the HCG weight loss plan by critics and detractors, but no reputable dealer or physician would ever make such a statement. HCG has two primary purposes:

  • to treat fertility issues in couples unable to conceive a child
  • as a weight loss treatment used in conjunction with a 500-calorie diet

These are the only legitimate uses for this hormone at present. It is true that HCG has not been officially approved for dieting by the FDA, but this is hardly cause for concern. When HCG shots or drops are prescribed or used with Dr. Simeons’ protocol as part of a weight loss program, this is technically “off label” use, which physicians do quite often with many prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

There also is a connection between HCG and cancer diagnosis, which has confused many people. To clear up the confusion, here is some information on “Human Chorionic Gonadotropin” and what it does.

HCG And Its Purpose

When a fetus begins to develop in a woman’s womb, it begins to excrete HCG. This hormone has three primary functions:

  • it regulates metabolic processes during pregnancy in both mother and fetus
  • it prevents the mother’s system from leeching nutrients from the fetus
  • it keeps the mother’s immune system from rejecting the fetus

This third function is key. In this role, HCG acts like a kind of anti-rejection drug, similar to those that must be taken by transplant patients. Otherwise, there is the danger that the mother’s antibodies might mistake the developing fetus as a “foreign” body and attack it as if it were a transplanted organ or a pathogenic substance.

The Irony of Cancer

This irony of biology becomes apparent when you understand what cancer is and why the immune system has no effect on it. While a baby is wondrous and a miracle, it is after all as much part of the father as it is the mother. Technically, the father’s DNA is “foreign” to the mother’s body, which is why a fetus needs protection from its mother’s immune system.

Cancer on the other hand is not a “foreign” pathogen. Tshe DNA is exclusively that of the host. It is nothing more than a collection of the victim’s own, native cells that have gone haywire. Therefore, antibodies do not “see” them as an invading pathogen.

Interestingly, oncology researchers have discovered that like a fetus, a cancer cell also excretes small amounts of HCG, which appears to be part of why antibodies cannot recognize cancer cells as being pathogenic.

Historically, many kinds of cancer have also been difficult to detect until the disease has entered its later stages. The exciting part is that in serving as a tumor marker, HCG may allow pathologists to diagnose cancer at earlier stages when it is most treatable.

HCG Shots: We Offer a Pain-free, Inexpensive Alternative

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

We pride ourselves on offering the best sublingual drops available as an inexpensive, pain-free alternative to HCG shots. Our homeopathic remedy is created by a laboratory here in the United States that has been in business for decades. It is manufactured under the strict regulation of the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of the United States as well as the FDA. Each vial of our sublingual drops contains the same potent hormonal punch as the injections in a simple, portable and ingestible format.

A pain-free alternative to injections

The sublingual drops are a pain-free alternative to intramuscular injections. These drops are an alcohol-based suspension, which means they do not require refrigeration. Simply place a few drops under your tongue using the oral syringe and you are good to go. Since the drops do not need to be refrigerated, you can simply keep them with you as you run errands, go to work, or go about your daily routine.

Studies show that you are more likely to stick with dietary habits that easily fit into your lifestyle. For many people, the injections are simply too painful and inconvenient to incorporate into their daily routines. This means that many dieters will simply stop taking them, or miss doses, or go off the diet program entirely. The drops are a good way to stay on schedule without drastically altering your usual way of life.

An inexpensive alternative to injections

The drops are also a good alternative for anyone on a budget. Injections are only available by prescription in the United States. So dieters who go this route must find a physician to prescribe them and then have the prescription filled at a local pharmacy. Most insurance companies will not cover any portion of that procedure. Many dieters turn to overseas pharmacies to obtain the injections, but must pay costly shipping fees and taxes in addition to the outrageous cost of the shots themselves.

Our drops are made of quality ingredients here in the United States, and we offer them at bargain prices. Our goal is to make the hormone available to everyone without sacrificing quality or effectiveness. We even offer free shipping on some items to make this program even more affordable for dieters.

Refuse to pay astronomical prices for the hormone your body needs. Our oral HCG is a simple, pain-free and affordable alternative. These drops prompt the same biochemical changes in the body as the injections, so you will achieve the same astounding results without needles.

The Disadvantages of HCG Shots

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

If you are one of the thousands of people that have discovered the HCG diet, you may have also discovered the disadvantages of HCG shots.  Of course, they are derived from a natural substance and therefore are not harmful to your body, but as you would imagine, taking shots every day has its drawbacks.

The first and probably biggest drawback to taking your hormone as an injection is the fact that you have to go visit a doctor every day.  After sitting in the waiting room once a  day, you know that there is no such thing as a quick doctor visit.  Although the diet protocol still calls for injections every day at the doctor’s office, a daily visit is often simply not on the agenda for today’s busy person.  You could go on your lunch hour, but who can get in and out of the doctor’s office in an hour?

A second major disadvantage to taking injections is that they hurt.  This is not a secret.  Everybody knows that when a doctor says ‘This won’t hurt a bit’, they really mean, ‘Here, bite on this’.  Of course, some doctors are better than others at giving shots, but if you’ve ever run into a doctor that can take a long thin piece of hollow metal and pierce your skin with it painlessly, you are in the minority.

A third major disadvantage of taking injectable HCG is the cost.  The injections themselves cost somewhere on the order of about $10 to $12 per day.  Once you factor in the cost of going out to the doctor, whether you’ll owe a copay each visit or not, gas getting there and back, and lost time waiting for them, the cost gets even higher.  Most insurance plans do not cover this type of treatment, so everything is out of pocket.

The only viable alternative to taking these injections is to buy your HCG in drop form, whether as homeopathic or sublingual drops.  These are much cheaper, usually around $3 per dose, and don’t require you to even leave your house.

HCG Shots vs. Oral HCG: Which Is More Convenient?

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Are you eager to try the HCG diet plan, but want to know if HCG shots are your best option? You may be surprised to know that oral HCG is just as effective as the HCG shots. If you are seeking an inexpensive, convenient alternative to injectable HCG, you should give our homeopathic remedy a try.

Oral HCG Does Not Require Refrigeration

Oral HCG is the most convenient form of the hormone you can buy, because it does not require refrigeration. When HCG is diluted during the homeopathic process, it is mixed with 16% usp alcohol. While this alcohol solution makes the HCG ingestible, it also acts as a preservative.

This means you can take your HCG drops with you anywhere and you can take them at any time. This makes it easier for you to stick with the HCG diet plan.

Oral HCG Does Not Require a Prescription

Oral HCG is a homeopathic treatment and, unlike injected HCG, you do not require a prescription to get it. Our oral HCG drops are manufactured with pride in the USA, by a lab that has been creating quality homeopathic remedies for decades. If you buy from us, you will be getting the highest-quality HCG on the market–and you will get it quickly with no fuss.

Oral HCG Is Pain-Free

Oral HCG is a virtually pain-free method of obtaining HCG. Using an oral syringe, you simply place a few drops under your tongue throughout the day. HCG shots require you to inject HCG into your muscle several times a day. If you are needle-shy or simply do not want the pain and hassle of injections, HCG shots are a bad choice.

We make purchasing oral HCG simple and convenient: simply stop by our online store and order everything you need to be successful on the plan. Why choose painful, expensive method HCG shots when our drops will give you the same effective doses of HCG? Try it today!

HCG Shots: Is There a Gain for Your Pain?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

If you’re considering the HCG diet, one of the first big questions is always, HCG shots or drops?  Often, it is perceived that injections would be the best way to go—I think it’s because it just sounds more hardcore.  But are there really benefits to putting yourself to the extra trouble and pain?

Studies have demonstrated that patients using the oral HCG drops versus the shots tend to experience less hunger and more energy.  It’s not conclusive as to exactly why that is, but I think it makes sense—on some level, you satisfy a certain psychological oral fixation by ingesting the hormone that way.  It goes into your stomach, which may seem less drastic than jabbing it into your tissue, but I think the body responds more favorably to a friendlier entrance—it’s less likely to go into defense mode.

Oral HCG drops are also easier to get.  With the shots, you either have to procure a doctor’s prescription, or you must order from a foreign country, or both; if you order from overseas, it may take up to six weeks to get your HCG.  Then you have to concern yourself with mixing, refrigeration, and what to do if you need to travel—not to mention expiration dates.  Homeopathic HCG typically doesn’t entail all of this fuss.

With the oral HCG drops, you administer the drops by placing them under your tongue—an age-old method of taking liquid homeopathic and herbal medicines.  The idea is for the substance to naturally break down and for the absorption process to have begun before you ever swallow—this makes it easier for your body to process.

You can refrigerate the drops if you like, but keeping them at room temperature is fine because homeopathic methods incorporate alcohol into their processes; the alcohol acts as a preservative to keep the HCG active and effective.  Before being opened, the HCG will last indefinitely, but after being opened, it should be used in a timely manner to prevent contamination.

Oral HCG also won’t cause nasty bruises and doesn’t involve poking yourself with a needle, so I would have to say, with all of the evidence lined up, it doesn’t make sense to cause more pain for what may even be less gain.

HCG Shots for Weight Loss

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

HCG shots and HCG oral drops are increasing in popularity as the word is spreading on their medical benefits. Just how HCG shots and drops work as part of a weight loss program is still a mystery to some people.

In addition to its use as a weight loss aid, HCG has been used for numerous medical applications. These include increasing fertility in both men and women, and bringing about the normal onset of puberty in boys.

What exactly is HCG? Well, HCG, short for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a hormone that is naturally present in both men and women, with pregnant women experiencing the highest levels.

Perhaps the greatest and farthest reaching use of HCG is its use as a diet aid. When used in combination with a very low calorie diet, a VLCD, people have reported losing up to two pounds per day. People tend to use the diet to reach their target weight and then enjoy their reconfigured metabolism.

Human metabolism is intimately affected by increased levels of the HCG hormone. As pregnant women utilize high HCG levels in nurturing an unborn child, elevated HCG levels can benefit overweight people lose unwanted body fat. This is a medical breakthrough in itself as obesity related diseases are on the rise.

After the active weight loss period, a person’s metabolism has been adjusted to operate on a reduced food intake. This part of the diet is what gives it a lasting effect. Other diets often let people down as the tendency for them is to gravitate towards old eating habits.

HCG, whether taken in its traditional injectable form, or in its newer more convenient oral form, is a critical component of any HCG diet. It helps to both curb hunger during the diet, and to reset the body’s natural metabolism long after.

HCG Shots Are a Thing of the Past

Monday, September 7th, 2009

There once was a time when receiving daily HCG shots was the only possible way to enjoy the benefits of HCG dieting.  This was unfortunate because many people despised the idea of receiving shots on a daily basis.  Nevertheless, the HCG shots were so effective that many people looked past the process and received them anyways because they were able to lose weight so easily.  There is good news for those who just couldn’t bring themselves to getting shots.  That news is that HCG is now available in an oral solution that is just as effective as the HCG shots were.  Now individuals can lose massive quantities of weight by simply taking oral HCG each day.

Oral HCG is taken sublingually (under the tongue), which causes it to absorb into the blood stream extremely rapidly.  Almost immediately upon consumption, oral HCG begins to have an amazing effect on the human body.  It increases metabolism significantly while simultaneously suppresses the appetite.  When these two things occur, the body goes into a state where losing weight is easy to do.  Since you only intake 500 calories, it causes the body to tap into calorie reserves stored in fat cells.  As you can probably surmise, when the fat cells are used up, the waist line slims down.

There is no reason why you shouldn’t go for oral HCG–it is just as effective as the HCG shots and only a fraction of the price.  Find the best oral HCG around at HCG Diet Direct.

HCG Shots or Oral HCG?

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

If you are contemplating the HCG diet to lose weight, you may be wondering if you should take HCG shots or oral HCG. Although, one person may prefer one product over the other, there are definite advantages to the oral HCG over the HCG shots.

A big turnoff of the HCG diet is the fact that you have to inject a needle into your butt or stomach to take the dose of HCG. There are many people who absolutely can’t do this to themselves. For them, the oral HCG is the best option. All it takes is a few drops out of the dropper under the tongue and that’s it.

Also, for HCG shots you must see a physician to get a prescription for the hormone. You can’t order HCG injections over the web like you can with oral HCG. Although you should always see your doctor before starting any diet, with HCG shots you have to keep going back to the doctor to track your progress. It may also be hard to find a doctor in your area that does HCG shots. If you only find a doctor that is 40 minutes away, then that is a lot of traveling every week.

Oral HCG has been shown to be just as effective for weight loss as the HCG shots, but it is a lot less of a hassle. No worry about injecting yourself with a needle or having to go to the doctor every week. Instead, you can simply order your three month supply off the web and start the diet when you are ready. The oral HCG is good for much longer as it is mixed with alcohol so that it can be shipped across the country and last until you are ready to start the diet. HCG shots do not last very long and can’t be shipped anywhere.
