Diets For Weight Loss: Is Music Your Thing?

We all have our “things.” Mine are reading and movies. But yours is probably something else. Is your thing music? Clothing? Video games? Outdoor sports? Camping? Hunting? Straight up partying? Well, whatever your hobby is, I suggest that you use it! Use it to get yourself motivated.

It’s one of the best motivational techniques out there. That’s right, we’re talking bribery here. We’re all for it. Don’t get me wrong. We’re not encouraging you to bribe your local politician. You can get in trouble for that…theoretically, that is. But just because other people seem to make political bribes seem everyday doesn’t mean that it’s right. Right? But it does illustrate just how effective it is as a means of motivation.

If people are able to use bribery as an effective means of generating action, almost against the will of those taking action in the political realm, just think how much easier (and more positive) it will be for you to use bribery on yourself to get yourself motivated to stick to the diets for weight loss of your choice, and reach your weight loss goals.

So how do you “bribe” yourself if you just aren’t used to this mode of motivation? Start by identifying what would be an effective bribe. That’s always the first step. You can’t bribe someone with money if they have an unlimited bank account; that is unless they are simply THAT greedy and obsessed with money. But in most cases, if you have an unlimited amount of money, you might want to identify a more effective bribe. Some examples; for those with tons of money we suggest rewarding yourself by NOT doing something that you usually require of yourself, like housework, etc. Or you can reward yourself with a trip or a vacation or a cruise.

But for the rest of us who aren’t rich…we’re much easier to bribe. Many dieters find the following bribing techniques to be nothing less than successful:

  1. New Clothes (meet your goal and buy a new outfit or 3 new pairs of jeans, etc. Be specific).
  2. Nights at the movies or the club if you stick to the diet.
  3. Throwing a party.
  4. Extra time on the video game … the one you love so much that you have to limit your time spent so you don’t become one of “those” gamers who will someday serve as a bad example in a sad documentary.
  5. Get a new swimsuit, go to the beach and show it off!
  6. Go to that concert that’s coming to your area.

But those are just our suggestions. You can most likely come up with some good ones all on your own.

HCG For Weight Loss: Why and Why Not?

Have you ever gone on a long car ride with small children? They have a talent for discovering topics of conversation that they can continue to wonder and question you about that hold little to no interest for the adult trapped in the car. And the most popular question is, “Why?”

“It’s broken.”

“Why?”

“Because you broke it last year.”

“Why?”

“I’m not sure. I assume you didn’t know any better.”

“Why?”

“Well, you were younger then and probably didn’t realize what you were doing.”

“Why?”

“That’s just the way things work. You were a baby.”

“Why?”

And this is the point at which you get drawn into a vague, fairly detrimental and entirely unwanted discussion of the birds and the bees and the resulting babies. Yikes. And the entire time you’re at the wheel of a moving vehicle. At least the child at hand is strapped into said moving vehicle and can’t jump out to escape you. When you’ve meandered through a not very explanatory and even less logical explanation of the topic that is somehow at hand, you sigh thinking that at least the conversation will be over and you can simply turn the music up and move on when….

“Why?”

It all starts over again.

This is the type of circular conversation that often occurs between advocates of the homeopathic HCG for weight loss program and those who are against it. The advocate can explain and explain and explain and explain, but no matter what you say there will be another question from the opposition. And it’s most likely going to be, “Why?”

WHY? It’s a pleasant conversation killer. It sometimes makes us want to stop communicating altogether. If you find yourself in this type of conversation with an adult here are some tips (with children you just have to grin and bear it because they’re still learning):

  1. Realize that some people just want to argue. They don’t want to be convinced. They don’t even want to listen. And sometimes they aren’t. It’s Not Easy Weight Loss

I like things easy. I like to easily get raises and promotions at work. I like to easily get straight A’s when I submit work for a grade. I like to land the new account so that I get that awesome bonus at work. I like to easily remember everyone’s birthday and everyone’s anniversary. I like to easily create gourmet, 4 course meals when my boyfriend or my mother comes over. I like to easily look gorgeous everyday without allowing time for excessive primping.

But let’s face it, even with all the tricks and tools we’ve got to make things easy…things still aren’t exactly easy. Everything good is going to require a little effort.

I don’t think there are very many of us who “easily” get promotions and raises. We work for them. We ask for them. We work for them again. And then we ask for them again. And we continue until a better job pops up or we land that dang elusive raise.

Straight A’s are the same way. Easy straight A’s typically go to those students who actually read the book, conducted the experiment or dedicated hours to completing that presentation.

Landing that new account at work? You have to figure out what they want and make sure they get it, and that almost always calls for some work on your part; sometimes a LOT!

Remembering everyone’s birthday and anniversary? I let my phone do this for me. But it’s not exactly easy and it’s not exactly fool proof. I have to input all the information. And sometimes…I somehow don’t hear the alert. And it’s still all my fault. No one accepts me trying to place the blame on my Crackberry (derogatory name for my hated Blackberry). I’ve tried.

Gourmet dinners? Easily? Nope. That’s not happening. The sheer amount of food is going to call for some time in the kitchen. You can take advantage of great tips and tricks and recipes, and they’ll make it easier. But they simply can’t make it easy.

And being gorgeous everyday takes a LOT of work. Most of us don’t have the time to dedicate that kind of time daily.  So we come out looking “pretty good” or “acceptable” 5 out of 7 days and on those other two days we either hit “gorgeous” or “retched” depending on fate and luck.

Given the general nature of this argument you’ve probably already guessed that I’m going to break the news to you that there is no easy weight loss. There’s efficient weight loss. Weight Loss Programs Hints and Tips

The most common reason for breaking the diet is that dieters are hungry right NOW and need something immediately when they haven’t yet started cooking/preparing their meal. Buying a few frozen meals and keeping them in the freezer for emergencies would avoid this problem.

Weight Loss Products: Just the First Step

Many dieters spend a lot of time finding the right dieting program without ever finding the plan that’s right for them. They are perpetual dieters. They find out exactly what they need to get for their chosen weight loss plan and they buy it. They make sure that they have the right supplies; the right weight loss products. But that’s just the first step. Preparation is key, but it’s definitely not the end of the story. And if you’ve chosen an ineffective weight loss program, you may find all your preparation to be pointless.

The most dangerous element for dieters who find themselves continually trying new methods to lose weight, is frustration and defeat. They feel that they can’t succeed and they give up. They stop searching for a solution to their weight loss needs.

HCG for Weight Loss: More Motivational Tips

Dieters who stick to the rules of the HCG Diet Direct weight loss plan see an average of weight of weight loss per day. But it’s more than that. Many dieters find plenty of motivation from seeing the numbers on their scale go down consistently. Others add additional forms of motivation.

Some dieters note that they measure themselves weekly and that they use the inches they’ve lost as their motivation to stick to the rules. Typical measurements include:

Many are aware of the fabulous change that can be documented by a set of before and after photos, but some dieters find that they are so motivated by the visuals, that it is beneficial for them to take regular photos that document their weight loss on a weekly basis.

The majority of dieters are motivated by a visual representation of their success as they go along. Seeing is believing, but you have to figure out what will get you moving. What will work for you? You know yourself better than I do, and I’ve given you the best examples of motivation while on the diet. And if none of those work…bribery is always a good bet. Try that if the weight loss itself isn’t enough motivation.
