What’s the best way to lose weight? In simple terms…the best way is to eat less. It’s a fact; a scientific fact. We’re all aware of it. Yet many individuals are still struggling to lose weight.

They design their own diet often limiting themselves to just one food item for a specified amount of time. This and other methods created by individual dieters are often quite . They do sometimes end in positive weight loss results.

But for someone to design their own weight loss diet is often riddled with problems. “Making it up” means that the dieter is starting a diet with no history of success. There’s no way to be sure that the diet will be worth the trouble. There’s no way to be sure that it’s even possible to sustain the diet long enough to see results.

Sustaining a diet is the most important aspect of any program. If a diet lasts one week…it can be successful, but it is nearly impossible that it will offer the possibility for weight loss. Dieters need to be able to continue on past that first week.

Making up a diet often makes it harder to stick to it. Considering any type of weight loss system begins with deciding whether or not the diet (rules and all) is sustainable for a long enough period of time to see results. Dieters have to stick to it; following the rules. It helps to determine an end date at the start of the diet. Leaving the diet with an open ended “ending” makes it really, really hard not to make exceptions to the dieting rules. And there’s no reason to make a weight loss diet harder than it already is.

Emotions And Overeating

The connection between emotions and overeating isn’t in question. Industry experts accept the obvious link.
