One of the top requests for potential HCG candidates is that we provide recipe samples so dieters can see what they are in for. In response we created our HCG Diet Direct Recipe Book. It's full of easy recipes anyone can make, even if you think you aren't a cook! The recipes are meant for the very low calorie diet and are often single serving means meant for use during the diet, but they are also good examples of types of entrees you can incorporate into your overall healthy eating habbits after the diet is over. You can use these recipes when you return to higher calorie meals by adding healthy side dishes.
The recipe book shows that limited calorie intake doesn't have to mean terrible tasting food, you get to eat real food on the HCG Diet. Food that tastes good and is easy to prepare. Samples from our HCG Diet Direct Recipe Book:
Chicken Marinara
Ingredients:
100 grams of chicken
1 small tomato, diced
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp chili powder
A Dash of garlic powder
A Dash of pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place 1/2 of the diced tomatoes in a casserole dish. Sear chicken on both sides for 1 to 2 minutes per side with a dash of garlic powder, salt and pepper in the pan as it cooks. Place the seared chicken on top of the tomatoes in the casserole dish with the minced garlic. In a small bowl, toss the remaining diced tomatoes with the remaining seasonings. Place the contents of the bowl on top of the chicken. Cover the dish tightly with foil (or use the lid if you have one). Cook for 45-60 minutes and serve warm.
Turkey and Tomato Soup
Ingredients:
100 grams cooked ground turkey
2 cans stewed or crushed tomatoes (organic)
3 cloves of garlic (crushed)
2 tsp red wine vinegar
A pinch of each of the following seasonings: parsley, cumin, basil, rosemary, red pepper flakes
Directions:
Put tomatoes and garlic in a pot and add seasonings. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the cooked turkey and bring it to a boil. Cook for 5-10 additional minutes and serve warm.
